Krista Faries

Biography
Krista Faries joined the Economic Policy Institute in 2016. As an editor, she works with research and policy staff to produce reports that are engaging and accessible for a wide audience. She believes that how we use words matters as we seek to persuade, educate, and collaborate with others to address complex challenges.

Prior to joining EPI, Faries was an editor at Center for the Collaborative Classroom, a nonprofit, mission-driven publisher of K­–8 literacy and social-emotional learning curricula. She has also edited for the MIT Press publications Leonardo Journal and Leonardo Music Journal. In her free time, she enjoys playing the violin and has written about transportation justice issues.
